How RecWA Uses iyarn to Evaluate and Enhance Impact

Since 2020, ReconciliationWA has used iyarn as its check-in and data-collection platform. During events like the ReconciliACTION Forum, participants complete check-ins before and after to capture sentiment and provide feedback on their experiences and learning outcomes.

These check-ins capture how well reconciliation programs challenge participants’ assumptions, broaden knowledge of reconciliation, provide access to a community, ensure a range of diverse voices, and demonstrate respect and cultural safety.

This enables RecWA to continually refine its programs and ensure greater impact and alignment with its reconciliation goals.

Reconciliation WA chose iyarn because it’s a platform co-designed with Aboriginal communities. Developed in close partnership with the Bardi Jawi people, iyarn integrates Indigenous knowledge and practices, ensuring a culturally appropriate tool.

In addition to using iyarn as their check-in and data collection tool at RecWA events, RecWA offers free iyarn access to all RecMembers to track their reconciliation goals and journey in their own organisations.
