iyarn Data Management Practises
The data collected via iyarn is not for ESS portals (web-based tools through which employees can access relevant information and conduct certain transactions from a central online site or gateway). All iyarn data is stored on ISO 27001 accredited hosting services within Australia.
iyarn is a data processor and steward of the data. We act on the instructions of users, be they individuals or organisations. Individuals and organisations will define the type of data that is to be collected, the frequency with which it is collected and how this data is reported.
We store data submitted by users for the purpose of check ins. This data is owned by the users, and as discussed below, can be removed at their request. We limit our collection and use of data to fulfil our core purpose. iyarn does not use data for advertising purposes, and/or doesn’t on-sell your data.
iyarn Data Security Certification by the WA Education Department
iyarn is a certified platform by Western Australia’s Department of Education and has undergone the Department’s formal security audit and has been granted approval to be used with young people of all ages as a wellbeing and support resource.
iyarn Certifications
iyarn is a certified app on both the Apple Store and Google Play, every time we make a product update the app is tested to meet the below data collection standards, this ensures all users’ data is safe and not being used for reasons outside of the what the users have signed up for.
iyarn Encryption Standards
Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is a symmetric key cipher and is used in database encryption, in addition to VPN systems, password managers and the most popular messaging programs. AES-256 is the strongest level of encryption under AES. Data in transit is encrypted using SSL. We use the latest iteration of SSL, TSL.
iyarn Application Data Policy
The data is not used for tracking purposes (meaning the data is not linked with third-party data about the user or device for advertising or advertising measurement or shared with a data broker). The data is not used for Third-Party Advertising or Marketing purposes, or for other purposes, as those terms are defined in App privacy details on the App Store.
iyarn Data Hosting
All data is hosted on Australian servers We use AWS, and Amazon Web Server which are all based in Australia. AWS is the same cloud storage solution as what the Federal Government uses for public servants, public Universities and Government-controlled organisations.
